  • Don't blame yourself if someone says you're not "happy enough." You might like to remove yourself from the situation and take some time to process your feelings where you feel safe.
  • Use a self-soothing strategy, like soothing touch or a self-compassionate affirmation.
  • Honour your emotions and needs.
