Some people struggle with feeling like God just doesn't care or that he really isn't involved in the affairs of this world. Just over 2000 years ago Jesus ascended into heaven and said he would come back to take us to be with him. But where is he? As time goes by, it is easy to give up hope. In a sermon called "The Power of God's Word" we look at 2 Peter 3:1-9. In this passage, Peter mentions that people will doubt the return of Jesus because so much time has passed and it seems like things aren't getting better. If the people he wrote to were experiencing this back then, how much more so do we struggle with this today!? Peter's answer is to remind us to go back to the Word of God. God has a track record of fulfilling his promises!
