Filmmaker Doug Block discusses making '51 Birch Street,' in which he uncovers the truth behind his parents' relationship, and his newest work 'The Kids Grow Up,' about his own experience of parenthood. Named one of the top ten films of 2006 by The New York Times and one of the top documentaries of the year by the National Board of Review, '51 Birch Street' tackles the human question of how much do you really want to know about your parents. With 'The Kids Grow Up', coming to U.S. theaters starting October 29th, Block turns in the other direction, offering an exceptionally moving film, shot over an 18-year period, about his relationship with his only child, Lucy .
