Toast is Alan's story of a journey through time and the racism embedded in the streets of Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Alan White (they/them) is an assistant professor of acting at Western Kentucky University. As a multidisciplinary Alan has performed in applied theatre to address issues of social justice, and in everything from Shakespeare to devising new works and creating solo performances.

Alan’s written works include two plays for children Rise of the King, and Out of The Woods which was written for the Boston Public Schools play library, The short play We’re Going to Madam Walker’s at the End of the Universe, as well as personal narrative, original folk tales, and “text-format” short stories.

Alan has a B.A. in theatre at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an M.F.A. in acting from Louisiana State University.
