JUNE 13 2021 Belmont Banter Episode 66 Steve Marshall (first of two) the Official podcast of Whitstable Town F.C.
Steve Marshall is one of those players who is known all over Kent as he has either scored against your team, or if you’re lucky enough like Whitstable Town were, scored goals for you. It’s that simple. Born in Peterborough Steve started playing at very young age, he went with his father who played in goal for a local side and Steve st times used to sit in the dressing room of a men’s side, so as he says with all the ‘chat going on’ he had to grow up quickly. Played for his school side and at 15 played junior football at Peterborough United, then at U18’s played for Baker Perkins who were a really good works team in the area who had great facilities in a league that was the same standard as the Kent League. He then moved down to London and was then approached by John Roseman who was manager of Sheppey United. That just the start of Steve’s amazing football journey as he went on to play for Margate, Maidstone, Deal amongst many others
