Branching Out host and Thousand Oaks Acorn editor Kyle Jorrey is joined by Simi Valley reporter Melissa Simon to discuss a recently published independent study looking at how the Woolsey fire might have impacted the Santa Susana Field Lab site. The peer-reviewed research indicates that radioactive contamination migrated off the Santa Susana Field Lab site following the Woolsey fire in 2018, calling into question state officials’ reports that no hazardous materials were released into surrounding communities.
