This is part 10 of an interview that I, Dawn Eden Goldstein, conducted with Del Shannon on May 13, 1989, the night he performed as part of an oldies package concert in Fairfax, Virginia. This was Del's last comprehensive interview. I later wrote up the interview for Goldmine magazine under my pen name Dawn Eden; it was published March 23, 1990. Towards the beginning of this section, Del talks about how faith prevents people from committing suicide. The interview began before Del's performance and continued afterwards. I was as young as I sound -- twenty. All rights to this interview are reserved to Dawn Eden Goldstein and to Del Shannon's estate.
