Special Guest: Nate Regier: Author of ‘Seeing People Through’ Leadership is the process of influencing diverse personalities and skill sets towards a common goal. One of the most important keys to engagement is personality. Different personality types are motivated differently, communicate differently, and engage differently. Agile leaders adapt to meet people where they are at. A couple key engagement themes from my book: 1. Influence is about the Platinum Rule, not the Golden Rule 2. Engagement is maximized when the purpose of the organization aligns with their unique motivational needs. There are three steps to do this. 3. Safe honesty vs. real honesty. This distinction is the key to making a deeper connection with people to earn their trust. Nate Regier, Ph.D., is the CEO and founding owner of Next Element Consulting, a global leadership firm dedicated to bringing compassion into the workplace. He also hosts a podcast called “On Compassion with Dr. Nate,” writes a weekly blog, contributes to multiple industry publications and blogs, and is a regular guest on podcasts. Join us as we discuss the need for leaders to adapt. Listen Live (Archive Available) Host: Jo Moffatt
