Hey loves, I am so thrilled to be with you again this week as we continue to move through the Smart Momma Move. Series.

This series is inspired by practical realities that not only served me on my journey, but has served the women I serve all over the world who, as we speak, are beating insane odds. Just over an hour ago, I received updates from one of my ladies who is now 18 weeks pregnant after years of trying, and another mama.

She sent me an update with a picture of her baby girl that is now almost a year old. I live for this shit. And this is why I’m coming to you fast and hot in this series. I want you to take the lessons that I am serving up. and apply them. This week we’re going to zero in on a critical move that smart mamas in the making master.

See the opportunity. Naysayers and those who rarely think out of the box love to poo poo the idea of seeing the opportunity. In anything that comes your way is polyanahopium. That likely explains why they are where they are in their lives and their likely miserable state. That’s not shade, mamas. It’s just a really smart observation.

You see, when you look closely at the lives of people who focus only on the negative, and focus only in terms of what quote unquote chances or the statistics say, and the myopathy of their own victimhood, you can see why they are where they are. Doing what everyone else does, taking the quote unquote safe route and leading as what Henry David Thoreau calls a life of quiet desperation.

When you desire something to the core of your being, staying in that place isn’t going to work. It doesn’t feed the resilience, ingenuity, nor the tenacity that is required for real success. There is a grit and vision that comes from working toward a goal. Some people embrace that. Even when they have the, are you fucking serious moments, they still embrace it.

Because look, here, you can embrace the growth that shows up in your life and still have moments of frustration and despair. Having a strong mindset doesn’t mean that you never have a moment. Okay, we all have moments. Your strong mindset is what decides whether that moment is just a moment or a fucking lifetime.

I hope you hear what I just said. When you get your shit sorted on this journey, it’s a process that’s going to serve you for a lifetime. Wise women think ahead. It’s not just about getting pregnant. It’s about staying pregnant, showing up to your pregnancy like a mama bear, so you aren’t flooding your baby with your fear and stepping up to the challenge of being the best damn mom you can be.

Seeing the opportunity will keep your eyes up. and head on a swivel as any good mom would. Think about the women you admire. I’m willing to bet that they overcame adversity. They had to figure shit out. They didn’t have the luxury of wallowing in self pity. They found a way to take care of themselves and keep moving.

When you train yourself to see the opportunity, you become acutely aware of resources and avenues that others just don’t see. Think about it. When you want to beat the odds, you have to fucking beat the odds. You don’t get to do what the 95 percent do. You focus on the 5 percent that will position you to win.

You pay no attention to the 95%. You have got to be so focused on how something can work for you that you don’t mind that trifling nonsense that’s trying to distract you from the one way that you can make this work. Okay, does that make sense? And you’ve heard so many of my ladies talk about this idea in varying ways and from many different perspectives.

You have to be nimble enough to change up the plan, not take shit personally, and ultimately be very light on your feet. Here’s how this might look in practice. While everyone else is slowing down and wrapping up for the year, this is your chance to act and take action boldly. Get ahead of the curve.

Don’t wait for January 1st to start shit up. That date is arbitrary anyway. And when you treat your, your life like a New Year’s resolution, that’s all it will ever be. You’ll find more and more excuses to postpone what you could be doing now. Okay? And think about it, while everyone else is slowing down, Hey, the field isn’t very crowded, lady.

The field is not crowded and there’s plenty of room for your success. It’s awesome. That’s a huge opportunity to see. Now, while everyone else is feeling sorry for themselves, you shore yourself up. You get excited and you double down. When everyone else is turning left, you fucking go right. When other people complain about getting their period, you shout, Damn straight, my shit still works!

When other people bitch about their failures, you are stacking up the lessons. When everyone else is jealous, You, baby, are grateful. When everyone else is penny pinching, you make smart investments. Most of all, in yourself. When everyone else is wrapped around the axle about their present circumstances, you focus on your vision.

When others are letting the past or future tripping fuck them up, You are zeroed in on the present. When everyone else thinks timing isn’t right, you say, Get out of my way, mofos. Mama is always ready. Mama’s always ready for this baby. You gotta think about the old adage, love, okay? The one that goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

Well, whatever is going on in your life right now, I don’t care how shitty you might think it is, that lump of coal is a diamond that you will rely on one day. And it will make so much fucking sense when you get to that place that you’ll want to scream. You’ll remember me shouting to you about this one day.

And that reminds me of this really cool quote from Thomas Edison, and it goes, Opportunity is missed by most people because it’s dressed in overalls and looks like work. And I think that those words are so They are so wise. You know, people run in the opposite fucking direction because they don’t want to put in any work or they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone.

But how you are going to win on this journey is by being willing to see the opportunity. That is a gap. Damn smart move. That’s why I’m, just coming at you with this was such fire. Because when I think back to the moment, I realized that I was done with treatment. I remember being in a place where part of me was scared shitless, because if medicine wasn’t able to help me, I must have been crazy to think I could have Asher naturally.

And on the other side of that belief was this intense peace. And freedom, knowing that even though there was that part of me that was afraid, like, fuck, you know, I’m walking away from my only way to have my boy. There was this massive opportunity, peace and freedom in me. It was an opportunity for me to deepen my faith in God universe source and trust myself at a level I had never trusted before.

It didn’t matter that I had a zillion letters after my name and had won some of the most landmark cases in my career as a prosecutor. My growth and the opportunity was for me to deepen my faith in God, universe, source, and trust myself. Because when I did that, when I made that decision in that moment, I was free.

I was no longer damned to victimhood or stuck in the hypnosis that I was too old, worthless, or too far gone. I saw the opportunity to end my servitude to looking outside of myself to believe that my boy could get here. When I made that decision and was willing to seize that opportunity, look, it was me, Gus, my husband, and my boy watching from on high.

I seized the opportunity to see that as the only majority or statistic that I needed. My loves, I want you to use the last weeks of this year wisely. That means I want you to start seeing the opportunities that are all around you right here and now. It’s what smart as fuck women do. So here’s an opportunity to take what I’ve been ranting about to the next level.

See the opportunity you can seize by December 31st. Step 1. There is no better time than the present. I want you to scour your life for opportunities you can seize now. I mean, N O W, now. Was a cycle canceled? Did you get a raise at work? Has your work come to a close so that now you have more time to focus on you?

Have you been clicking on the button to fill out an application to get into my program, but just haven’t submitted it because you’re afraid or trying to fool yourself into thinking DIY actually works? Are your folks coming for the holidays? So maybe you have a chance to set real boundaries in a loving way, face to face, see the opportunities all around you that are hiding right under your pretty little nose.

Whether something has gone awry in your life or it’s time that you finally pulled the trigger to do the thing you have been longing to do, my loves, see the opportunities all around you. Step two, seize those mofos. Seize them by the cranberries and take bold, massive action. If you had a canceled cycle and won’t be able to start again until the new year, this might be the best damn time for you to get your butt in my program.

Use the next eight weeks so that you can finally have your mind and body working together instead of fighting like teenage girls. Imagine what you can do in the next cycle. Perhaps you find yourself in a place. Where you just had a natural or treatment cycle that didn’t work out. See the opportunity to retool your approach, love.

Don’t beat yourself up. Just say, Hey, I have more data. I have more information upon which to make better choices. You know, don’t make a shift in plans. A one way ticket to a shitty start for 2022. Look at the opportunities you identified in step one and take some bold action. Because look doll, what you are doing right now is either moving you forward or pulling you back.

Staying in the same place, well, that shit may as well be moving backwards. You want your trajectory to be consistently moving forward. Even if it’s by the hairs on your chinny chin chin. You want to be making at least incremental moves forward. There will be moments where you have quantum leaps, but every forward motion counts.

Even shitty detours can move you forward. See the opportunity. And step three, text the link to this podcast episode to someone you think could benefit from it. Shit starts to happen with ease. You have confidence, you have peace. Think about where you could be 12 months from now if you actually allowed yourself to learn to live this way. And it’s a skill, like I said before, we aren’t born with this necessarily. And sometimes we are undoing decades of fucking programming.
