The Value Ladder is actually a concept introduced by Russell Brunson, the founder of ClickFunnels. The Value Ladder essentially considers the identity shift of your customers. For example, when you sell a bible, you don't target Christians because they already have their own. You target people who are considering of taking up or converting to Christianity.

Your Value Ladder has to help people make the identity shift. So, if you're selling a bible, you could give some value-added content about what being a Christian entails so that people might be more inclined to take up Christianity and become YOUR target audience.
