In most DC Comics media, Batman isn't known without his Batmobile or even the Bat Cave. But something that seems special to just his comic book stories are the trophies that stay within the Dark Knight's underground cavern. Even before the 'Bat cave' existed, Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder had a 'Hall of Trophies' in Wayne Manor, collected items from past adventures that reflected their triumphs over injustice. In this week's episode, myself and my co-host / producer and engineer Mason Booker dive into a brief history of Batman's trophies and their evolution in comic books. From the mechanical T-Rex to the Giant Penny, these items have become just as important within Batman's mythology as his other gadgets, juxtaposing the normalcy of a bat's cave to the whimsical world that the Caped Crusader inhabits with every story over the last 77 years. Listen to it all on this Bat-tastic episode of History of the Batman with Londyn! Presented by Meltdown Comics! Produced by Mason Booker and Adam Silverstein. Engineered by Mason Booker Theme music by ROYALTYFREEMUSIC Logo design by Hannah Nance Partlow, hannahnance.com
