US1.5 - The Anarchiad, # 1
Manage episode 335881026 series 3276335
In this episode, as promised in the previous episodes, I will be examining the Anarchiad over the next 12 episodes. In each episode, I’ll be reading to you from an installment of the American Antiquities (The Anarchiad), which was a mock-epic poem first published in the New-Haven Gazette and the Connecticut Magazine on October 26, 1786. After reading it, I'll examine it and share some thoughts on it with you. You're in for a treat!
Be sure to check out the website, which is historyrevisitedwr.weebly.com for a free copy of the poetic portions of the Anarchiad redesigned by my wife. She did an awesome job, so pretty certain that you will find value in it. Also on the website are the list of resources I used for this episode. Enjoy!
Also, here's the website for that awesome bookstore that I found in Florence, OR is booksnbears.com.
