‘Living with Ovarian Cancer Podcast’ is full of inspiring stories told by people who are living with or have a connection with Ovarian Cancer.

Each person’s story is a gift; unique and is told from the heart in their own words. I am your host, Diane Evans-Wood. Please subscribe to the Podcast and leave a review so that the show becomes more visible to listeners.

In this episode I talk to Linda Panter, who has led such an interesting life from living in a forest when she left school to becoming a District Nursing Matron. Linda shares with me how she thought her symptoms were attributable to something else much less serious but was so busy with her work and caring for others that she just carried on. Eventually she was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Cancer. Linda describes how hard it is to be suddenly the patient which is something many Doctors and Nurses will empathise with. She is now living with incurable disease but is very positive about living each day as best she can and she describes what many of us feel in that life never returns back to normal after cancer. We do talk in this episode about her plans regarding end of life care including DNA CPR, funeral planning, Will making etc. I hope you find Linda’s story as inspiring as I did.

Disclaimer: Each story in this Podcast is unique to the woman who is telling it. The content of each episode and the views expressed are not meant to be a substitute for medical advice or intervention. You will hear stories of women who sought alternative therapies, integrated oncology services or even choosing to decline treatment options. However, this is their story, and I am not advocating that you follow the path of any one woman who features in the podcast. If you have a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer, please make sure that you discuss anything that is going to affect your treatment or wellbeing with your own Medical team. You are unique and so what’s right for one woman may not be right for you!
