LSU added three more commits to their 2023 class over the weekend adding 3-star LB Whit Weeks out of Georgia, 3-star Bishop Gorman CB Jeremiah Hughes, and their highest-ranked recruit so far: 5-star WR Jalen Brown from Miami. In addition to the five commits Brian Kelly & Co. landed over the Fourth of July weekend, the Tigers' 2023 class so far is ranked ninth-best in the country which is a huge improvement over the ranking this time last year. So if LSU is so hot on the recruiting trail, why are there still fans concerned with the team's 2023 class?

Keeping Louisiana talent in the state of Louisiana is priority number one for this coaching staff but so far, they haven't met expectations. Why are so many Louisiana kids leaving to go to Alabama, Nebraska, or Texas? When is it time to press the panic button on Brian Kelly's ability to recruit in-state? How big of a deal really is it at this point in the recruiting period?
