The Problem with Confrontation
Manage episode 379060347 series 3493216
OK, here's a question for you - how good are you at confrontation?
Many shy away from it, as it makes them feel awkward, perhaps uncomfortable, and certainly believe it to inevitably involve aggression.
But what if we were to say that confrontation is actually necessary?
And that constructive confrontation can help us to ensure we can follow the path, opinions and ideas that really matter to us, and without it we are potentially allowing someone else's view to take priority over ours?
So how about we take the drama out and reframe the question?
How good are you at sticking up for yourself and/or your opinion?
At making sure that you're not only heard but really understood?
In this episode Maz and Beck explore the notion of confrontation and sharing their personal rules and approach to making sure their voices are heard - without negative backlash.
