Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge discusses mental health from a certified mental health professional perspective. Mental health is too frequently stigmatized and misunderstood, resulting in undiagnosed and untreated symptoms that can easily be identified and treated. There is no stigma or weakness in asking for help. It is becoming easier to ask for help as we become more familiar with the symptoms. When we discern the symptoms, we need to learn how to address someone needing mental health. As we increase our comfort in knowing the symptoms and how to effectively approach people, we can help those who would be reluctant to ask for help.
