Jesus' presence abides on earth in His Temple. Jesus calls His Temple the "The House of Prayer". Today all true believers are called the Temple of the Living God. The true Church of God is also called the Temple of the Living God. Individual believers are the Temple of God as well as the corporate body, the Church of God. And as Jesus cast out all of those who were defiling the Temple in Jerusalem, so he cleanses all true believers from the things that defile them, as well as the things that defile the Church of God. He cleanses us continually, preparing us for Glory. Jesus is preparing a people for Himself, a church without spot, wrinkle or any such thing; a Church that will bear much fruit; fruit that will bring much glory to the Father in Heaven.
