Season 2 of Politics & Prose has arrived, and we're excited to kick it off today by focusing on mental health awareness. Our first guest on the podcast is Stephanie Bright - a mom of three teenage/tween daughters who specializes in working with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, personality disorders, family and parenting issues, and young adult and coming-of-age issues. In this episode of Politics & Prose podcast, Gail plans to ask Stephanie some deep questions we all want answers to. So, tune in and listen to what Stephanie has to say.

Stephanie Bright ~

Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University in Business Economics, and worked in corporate banking and financial services in sales, management and training. After over 15 years of working within the corporate environment, she decided to follow her passion for mentoring and coaching others and returned to graduate school, receiving her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. She is currently working towards her Doctorate of Education in Counselor Education and Supervision.

While attending her Masters program, Stephanie interned at The Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders. She subsequently took a position as a primary therapist working with females ages twelve and older with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder. Stephanie used her clinical, teaching, and coaching skills to provide individual, group, family, and couples counseling, as well as conducting multi-family groups to help support people and clients during the recovery journey. Stephanie specializes in working with eating disorders, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma, personality disorders, family and parenting issues and concerns, as well as young adult and coming of age issues. She is a Certified Personality Disorder Treatment Provider and Certified in Brainspotting.

Her interest is in helping clients identify roadblocks and cognitive distortions, teaching clients skills to create more flexible thought process
