Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Homicide Investigator sat down with Running Toward Evil Podcast for an interview and information-sharing session about the unsolved murder in Indianapolis, Indiana, of Jim Russell Hiner in August 2023. IMPD is trying different approaches to solve murders in Indianapolis using various methods such as AI and Podcasts. Hiner was found Around 2 p.m. on Aug. 25; officers responded to the 2900 block of Indianapolis Avenue, near West 29th Street, for a report of a body found next to an occupied house next to the garage. According to WTHR News, the coroner's report stated he died of a gunshot wound. IMPD is looking for citizen involvement to help the police solve this crime.
