In this episode, we interviewed self-love blogger and TEDx Talks speaker, Caitlyn Roux. Caitlyn lists different types of self-growth: physical, mental, personal, and intellectual, and explains how and why personal growth is a conscious choice. We then talk about some of her self-love exercises based around getting to the person we want to be through growth. We go into how one can begin a journey of self-love by building a relationship with themselves, one of the most important steps being to learn how to spend time alone, and prioritizing it. Caitlyn walks us through her 5 steps for working through negative feelings, a topic she is often asked about: awareness, observation, feeling, acceptance, and letting go. Caitlyn ends our conversation sharing her journey with yoga: moving meditation. She relates yoga to self-love, thus how we treat others, and describes it as a practice on coming back home to yourself.
