Who is Doug?

Doug is a former professional baseball player who won the heroes of sports award in Atlanta, Georgia. He achieved this despite playing the sport on crutches due to an injury. Originally from the small town of Corning, New York, Doug moved his family back to his hometown in March of 2000. He had finished a successful ten-year career in coaching in the major leagues of Sweden, as well as owning camps and serving as an Olympic coach. Now, he was retiring from his coaching career in Sweden and settling back in Corning with his wife and daughter.
