Hey ya’ll hey! Thanks for tuning into Episode 56 of Tellemtiptoldyou—"Black Luxury and Educational Autonomy.” In this episode I provide some updates regarding our February book club on Keenga-Yamahtta Taylor’s How We Get Free: Black Feminism and the Combahee River Collective. Our first book discussion will be held on February 17,2021 at 9:00pm EST. Details will be sent out to the email list. I caught bits and pieces of a social media conversation on Black luxury that I just had to weigh in on. I might sound like I’m contradicting myself a lot in that segment because I think that whatever position one takes on the discussion, deeper reflection is necessary. Give it a listen and let me know what you think! If education is your thing (and it should be!), I want you to become familiar with the American Legislative Exchange Council and watch out to see what it may be up to. Finally, I offer some of my thoughts about Black History Month itself. After you tune in, let me know what you think of this episode by leaving me a 5 star review! Please, and thank you (smile). Take care ya’ll! #tellemtiptoldyou For more on Tellemtiptoldyou (the podcast on Black History, Black Spirituality, and Black Culture, be sure to follow Dr. Tip on Instagram (@tiffanydphd) and Facebook (@tellemtiptoldyou).
