I finally was able to get out to the driving range to try out my new Founders Club Series 200 Forged irons and my new Bridgestone Rextar Persimmon 4 wood. These clubs are spectacular and have amazing feel.
Special shout out to Jake from Brady Bay Florida for sending me a Founders Club Series 200 Forged pitching wedge.
Also special shout out to Doug Oughton of Oughton's Golf Repair for setting the proper loft and 2 degrees up lie of my new forged irons, including the Pitching Wedge!!
The Driving Range at Sacramento National now has the new shot tracer technology in each stall. Does it work for the better than average golfer?
I also was able to experience a few folks that were enjoying the driving range a bit differently. I met a group of guys that started their own youtube channel recently called "Brace For Impact" who do wild and crazy jackass kind of stuff. They had a good time and asked me for some golfing pointers. They also did a stunt that I am glad I didn't take part in.
It was also great to meet a newlywed couple from the east coast who enjoyed Top Gear and The Grand Tour as much as Mr Producer and I do. This chap, who also spent some time at the Skyway Golf Center in Chico California, had an appreciation for hickory shafted golf clubs. He let me hit his hickory shafted 7 iron and hickory shafted persimmon driver. Those clubs were amazing!!
