Naturally, as we grow older we come to understand our parents more. We find ourselves walking the same paths they took, experiencing the same thoughts and feelings they once did. And this realization forces us to push them off of the ideological pedestal we've created and instead see eye to eye with the people who we once considered to be superhuman. The objective of today's episode is to encourage you to come to terms with and to make amends with your parents. To see them as humans who are just as capable of making mistakes as we are. Family tends to be a touchy subject for most of us. The general consensus when asked about our relationship with our parents tends to be "it's complicated" and the truth is, it is. Familial bonds have the power to diminish healthy, rational thinking and amplify emotions that most of us don't realize we carry. Today we are talking about our childhood, our relationship with our parents and how these relationships have molded us into who we are today. Lets take on a more compassionate and empathetic lens when dissecting our parents mistakes -- lets find a way to forgive them.
