West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy is Now Open! 8am-9am PT/ 11am-Noon ET for our especially special Daily Special; Tarrytown Chowder Tuesdays!
Starting off in the Bistro Cafe, the fascist tool of “Eliminationist rhetoric” has gained an alarming foothold in Trump-era politics.
Then, on the rest of the menu, Michigan's longest-serving congressman said death threats by extreme far-right members in his party are “a detriment to getting good people to run;” the Biden administration is requiring that all steel used in infrastructure projects be made in the US; and, a judge ruled Amazon must reinstate a former warehouse employee who was fired in the early days of the pandemic for leading a protest calling for the company to do more to protect employees against COVID-19.
After the break, we move to the Chef’s Table where the European Union’s fraud agency accused French far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen of embezzlement just days before her run-off election against Macron; and, Archbishop of Canterbury criticized the British government’s plan to put some asylum-seekers on one-way flights to Rwanda as going against God’s plan.
All that and more, on West Coast Cookbook & Speakeasy with Chef de Cuisine Justice Putnam.
Bon Appétit!

“As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.”
- Ernest Hemingway
