In this episode Arnie and Fred discuss Jesus' crucifixion and burial which were prophesied in several prophecies in the Old Testament. These prophecies are stated and written down hundreds of years before the event s took place. The fact that Jesus was crucified between convicted criminals is one of those prophecies made by Isaiah. David in one of his Psalms said that none of His bones would be broken and we note that occasion as reported by John in his account. One of the soldiers that crucified Jesus thrust his spear through Jesus' side to ensure He was dead again according to John. We look at Zachariah's prophecy about this occurrence. We talk a little about Thomas's requirement to physically verify that Jesus had in fact been resurrected. Matthew and John note that Jesus was buried with the rich and we again note that Isaiah made a prophecy about this fact. These prophecies and Thomas's insistence on verifying the wounds Jesus sustained on the cross before believing He was risen from the dead provide us with evidence of the truth of the Bible record and Jesus' claims to be the Messiah.
