The 8-time surfing world champion reflects on advice she didn’t take.
Widely regarded as one of the most successful surfers in history she’s the only surfer male or female to claim 6 consecutive world titles.
Champion of surfing, giving back, growth, authenticity and well being the legendary Australian surfer has carved a stellar surfing career.
Now she’s helping others find their mojo with her Awake Academy focusing on teaching them how to find their passion carve their path and paddle their own canoe!
While acknowledging how the pandemic has had a devastating impact on the lives of many, Layne did say that she's been able to see the silver lining.
'COVID has been a tough time for a lot of people, but it's been an absolute blessing for me - and allowed me to reset,' the 48-year-old explained.
'Before March we were all gung-ho and we never really considered stopping to reflect on the quality of our lives, the nature of our relationships, and the quality of our health and wellbeing.'
