“If we march into that village and we start trying to persecute people for using poison, something that's very illegal, nobody's going to talk to us. We're not going to find out where the poison came from. We're not going to be able to shut anything down. We should take the approach that people are using poison because they're desperate, because they see no other alternative.” – Andrew Stein Andrew Stein is a wildlife ecologist who spent the past 25 years studying human carnivore conflict from African wild dogs and lions in Kenya and Botswana to leopards and hyenas in Namibia. His work has long focused on finding ways for people and predators to coexist. He is the founder of CLAWS , an organization based in Botswana that's working at the intersection of cutting-edge wildlife research and community driven conservation. This week, Jen, Jeramy, Max and Scott talk the ramifications of episode 3 heading into “Oathkeeper” and how the table is being set for things down the line. There are some things with this episode that make Jen even less happy but there are some suprises as well with how the show has begun to diverge from the books. So, sit back and have a listen with us as we talk Game of Thrones.…
The Furious Fourcast is back for the 32nd episode and welcomes Jeramy Pappas from the Daily Crate back. The latest Game of Thrones was controversial for one very big and gross reason but there were also some other things in the episode to take issue with. Dragon Age: Inquisition also made a splash this week with a new trailer and a release date. Everything looks fantastic so far but will it live up to the promise? The same can be said with other significant trailers released this week for Evolve from Turtle Rock Studios and Watch Dogs from Ubisoft. That leads to another question as we head deeper into the PS4 and Xbox One. Is the market for AAA games drying up as the costs get bigger and bigger? Both Epic Games and GameStop appear to have read the writing on the wall.…
After a brief two-week hiatus, the Furious Fourcast returns and welcomes the “Gentleman Gamer”, Russell Jones, to the fold. In this latest podcast, we discuss the dramatic return of Game of Thrones and all the bloody drama and intrigue that has unfolded over the first two episodes of season four. Yes, there is definitely spoiler material in here so you will want to skip ahead to 27:05 in the podcast. You've been warned! When we aren't talking the latest in fantasy soap opera, Max shares details on his trip to PAX East and the games he got to try out like Turtle Rock’s Evolve and demos of other games like The Evil Within from Shinji Mikami’s Tango Gameworks and Bethesda. Let’s just say that Jen wasn't too happy with one of these. We also touch on the shocking news that legendary Halo and Destiny composer Marty O’Donnell was fired by Bungie before moving on to more light-hearted fare in our Buy, Skip or Wait rapid(ish) fire session about Trials Fusion , Final Fantasy XIV and The Last of Us on the PS4 plus whether Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. dramatic Captain America: Winter Soldier tie-in made the show worth watching.…
Virtual Reality headsets like the Kickstarter-backed Oculus Rift and Sony's Project Morpheus for the PS4 were the talk of GDC last week. Then news dropped like a megaton bomb Tuesday that Facebook bought Oculus Rift. Jen, Max, Robert and Scott all got together for episode number 30 of the Furious Fourcast to discuss the implications of the deal and whether our gaming and entertainment future is wearing virtual reality headsets. We also check in with Robert on what he saw and did while at GDC, whether X-Men: Days of Future Past looks like an X-movie worth seeing and what's up with Microsoft's new reputation system for the Xbox One. We also manage to squeeze in a new Buy, Skip or Wait for some of the latest game and movie releases!…
The Furious Fourcast welcomes special guest Keri Honea as regular Scott clearly does not operate well on a couple of hours of sleep. The result is a sometimes pronunciation and memory disabled yet entertaining discussion of the "Dudebro" game genre. Do "Dudebro" games such as Call of Duty , Gears of War and the recently released Titanfall get too much crap because of the perception of the gamers who play them? Are there "Dudebro" games that can be appreciated? We also do a "Dudebro" special edition of Buy or Skip with a focus on which franchises are worth a buy and which are worth skip.…

Those who are about to die, we salute you! Dark Souls II landed on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this week and Jen and Max talk about how many times they've died among other things. Take a look or listen and let us know what you think of the latest difficult RPG from Namco Bandai and FROM Software.…
The Furious Fourcast manage to wrangle all four of its members together for a new episode to discuss the latest in gaming shenanigans. Watch Dogs made for an easy target this past week with a new release release date and a trailer that doesn't match what was originally shown in the debut E3 video. How much will that matter though? We also got news that The Last of Us will be getting a movie which is sure to excite some but also begs the question if it is even needed. The State of the Console War between the PS4 and Xbox One is also touched on along with Amy Hennig's departure from Naughty Dog and we bring back Buy, Skip or Wait for another round of fun where Jen and Scott lament the difficulty of playing South Park: The Stick of Truth .…

Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare landed on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 this week and Max, Robert and Scott from the Furious Fourcast share their opinions on what they liked and didn't like about PopCap Games' and Electronic Arts' budget-friendly multiplayer shooter.
The Furious Fourcast returns as Scott is set free from his real world life long enough to indulge in gaming. The Titanfall beta weighs heavily in episode 27 as Max, Jen and Robert all share their beta experiences. There's also some unfortunate news to cover regarding BioShock Infinite studio Irrational Games plus a strange Doom beta announcement. Buy, Sell or Wait also returns this week where we learn that both Jen and Max have a certain fondness for garbage from different mediums. Plus, is there anyone not hype after the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer?…
In this week's special edition of Furious Fourcast, Jen and guest Keri Honea run through the best original soundtracks of 2013. Join them as they run the gambit of orchestral, dubstep, and some good old fashioned Western twang. ... yeah, we realize it's February, 2014. Better late than never, right?
The Furious Fourcast quickly went off the rails for the Episode 11 recording Thursday night and struggled to get back on the tracks. In between teasing Jen for her WoW fishing addiction, Scott dealing with a door to door salesman at a late hour and other silliness, the crew discusses whether or not the changes revealed in the latest Game Informer magazine article about Dragon Age: Inquisition touches their excitement meter after the disappointment that was Dragon Age II . Speaking of wavering between disappointment and excitement, the Xbox One unboxing video and the latest 180 that Microsoft has taken and the features locked behind Xbox LIVE Gold. They also touch on the Naughty Dog's alternate ending for The Last of Us in a slightly spoiler-ish section at about the 43 minute through the 48 minute mark so beware. Before that though, there's a little movie talk with the kerfuffle between Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis in The Expendables 3 and thoughts on the new Thor: The Dark World trailer. Check it out below via YouTube, audio stream or by downloading the podcast!…

Jen, Adam, Scott and Max talk about the moments they loved, the moments they hated and which parts made them a little verklempt and which parts they wish included a schnauzer.…
The Furious Fourcast gathers together for a "One Shot" episode where Jen and Scott cover the disappointing performance of Nintendo as it revises sales projections of the Wii U down to dismal levels and its expected profit turns into a third consecutive loss. What should Nintendo do and what can they do?…
The first full week of January definitely did not lack for anything to talk about as the Furious Fourcast crew fields a viewer question about Call of Duty: Ghosts that turns into a discussion about the Titanfall 6v6 brouhaha that broke out. Sony also racked up some big news at CES by revealing PS4 sales numbers versus the Xbox One and formerly announcing the Playstation Now game streaming service. If that wasn't enough, Valve's Gabe Newell dropped names on who is making Steam Machines and Sega surprised with a new Alien game that looks nothing like the so-so to awful shooters that have come out in the past. Jen, Robert, Max and Scott tackle all of this but also want to hear more questions from you. Post your questions at the official website , YouTube channel or email them to furiousfourcast at gmail.com.…
It seems like games never lacks for anything to talk about and that was especially true this week as Microsoft finally dropped the date for the Xbox One launch and now we have the console war with the PS4 set for November. There was also both PAX Prime and Dragon Con this week that three of the Fourcasters attended with some notable controversy at one. Plus, there's news that Dragon Age: Inquisition will feature playable Qunari which is a huge disappointment to Jen. And this week's Burning Question is what is the first next-gen game you plan to purchase?…
