Eli Beer is a pioneer, social entrepreneur, President and Founder of United Hatzalah of Israel. In thirty years, the organization has grown to more than 6,500 volunteers who unite together to provide immediate, life-saving care to anyone in need - regardless of race or religion. This community EMS force network treats over 730,000 incidents per year, in Israel, as they wait for ambulances and medical attention. Eli’s vision is to bring this life-saving model across the world. In 2015, Beer expanded internationally with the establishment of branches in South America and other countries, including “United Rescue” in Jersey City, USA, where the response time was reduced to just two minutes and thirty-five seconds. ×Real faith wrestles with hard questions, and the Gospel meets us there with honest hope.
Closing out the book of Matthew, we examine Jesus’ final commission to believers.
Before resurrection, there was death. Before celebration, there was sorrow. In this episode, we sit at the foot of the cross in Matthew’s Gospel—not rushing past it, but letting it speak. Through story, scripture, and silence, we consider what it means to follow a crucified King.
A recap of where we have been throughout the Gospel of Matthew and how our Lenten series so perfectly connected some of the themes.
Jesus washing His disciples’ feet reveals that true greatness in God’s kingdom is found not in power, but in kneeling love and humble service.
God’s grace is not just forgiveness for our past but power for our present—meeting us in our weakness and inviting us into a life shaped by mercy, not merit.
Repentance isn’t about guilt or performance, but about returning to a God whose love is fierce, faithful, and always ready to welcome us home.
In our lives, we experience wilderness. What role does it play in the life of faith? Today, we unpack the wilderness as a place of disorientation, but in which we learn dependence and deepen our trust in God.
The Gospel message challenges us to live a life in liberty and dsicipleship.

When faced with Jesus or Barabbas, the crowd chooses the violent rebel—revealing how easily we trade the innocent King for the illusion of control and power.
In the garden, surrounded by betrayal, fear, and force, Jesus doesn’t run or resist—He surrenders in love, showing us the courage of a King who chooses the cross.
Judas’s story reminds us that failure doesn’t have to be final—but when we carry our shame alone, we risk missing the mercy that was always within reach.
Even after denying Jesus, Peter is met not with rejection but with restoration—showing us a Savior who turns our deepest shame into renewed purpose.
