Christopher Yenkey is an Associate Professor at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina In this episode, we heard another really unusual story into the life as academic. But there is so much more: Chris talked about how he found the topics that are a “fit” with him and fascinated him and also resonated with the world, and in his case this is research in Africa. He talked about how emotional the grounded work was in his research, but also how it is necessary to get to the bottom of an issue. In addition, he had some advice on the “bifurcated job markets” for those fresh out of their PhD, and why the job market – and even going back on the job market – should not scare you.
