A series to discuss and consider the concepts of Christianity for those who think like scientists and feel that there is something greater to consider. This series also helps those of us who are scientists to understand our role in understanding, discussing, the greater concepts of a Supreme Diety, our role, and opening our mind to concepts beyond our rational understanding.

In this podcast I suggest a targeted biblical reading list, as a path to understanding the Christian belief. It is a book to book approach, not a verse for this or that but more like a historical, but spiritual review. In my experience, reading these books, in the order given, shows much of the path and belief of the followers of Christy, and may help you feel the same. I also include a few science things as points of interest, mostly for fun. Overall, it is like reading a good novel as a basis for believing in Christ. Enjoy!…
There are so many groups and organizations, often with widely varying stated beliefs, that are associated with Christianity. These groups often argue, dispute, and sometimes even fight. How can this be? Why is it the case? And what should we as scientific and clear thinkers consider?
After an absence, we return discussing thoughts about how to think and understand Christianity as a scientific, rational thinker especially given the current world condition and wars.
In this discussion we consider why Jesus, why with a Supreme Creator God did we need an intermediator, an interface, a savior. Building on all our other podcasts we arrive at the crux of Christianity.
Podcast 24 is the third and final part of this three-part series on living as a scientist and a Christian. We discuss the teaching of Jesus and how it applies and has meaning for us as scientific thinkers and as something we really feel has value.
This is a three-part series on Living as a Scientist and a Christian. This podcast, Podcast 22 is Part 1. We discuss accepting Christ and Christianity as a scientific thinker and then living as both. Being a scientist and a Christian is fully compatible and beneficial.
This podcast continues our thoughts about Considering Christianity as Scientific thinking people but is a new series of shorter, more focused topics. This podcast discusses human hubris and how it impacts our thoughts about God and Christianity.
We consider and discuss in this podcast the concepts of praise and worship but through the process of understanding the words and concepts of “Glory” and “Holy”. We believe that it helps to understand the reasons for and approaches to worship and praise if you understand the characteristics of God as having Glory and being Holy. Knowing the mental ideals expressed by these words can help us as scientific thinkers approach God and Christianity.…
Being a scientific thinker and considering the Christian concept and construct of prayer, how to pray, what to pray, is discussed. Developing a prayer approach, accepting prayer as a way to talk with God is considered.
In Podcast 18 we discuss the history of the Book of James in the New Testament, the author’s story, and the teaching he relays to the distributed Jewish Christian believers. This may be the earliest written letter to Christians and the oldest book of the New Testament. It provides an insight into early Christianity and relays the teachings of Jesus.…
Podcast 17 continues our Considering Christianity as a Scientist series by addressing listener questions about repentance, baptism and sacrifice. We discuss the meaning and methods of the words and the concepts towards a broader understanding of these values of Christianity.
Podcast 16 begins a series of responses to specific questions starting with the Creator God. This podcast is a follow up to Podcast 1 and discusses our God beyond what we understand as our physics based universe.
Luke was a trained and educated man. He was a physician, a trained thinker and observer, and a qualified eyewitness to the foundations and beginnings of Christianity. He wrote what he saw and verified. He was a follower of the Christ. As scientific thinkers we have much in common with Luke and can have a high confidence in what he observed and recorded. Luke wrote both the gospel that bears his name and the ACTS, companion texts, sort of a part 1 and part 2. Luke helps us believe because he believed.…
Many scientific thinkers have a problem with the concept of the resurrection, living again after dying. This podcast discusses some key thoughts, assumptions and known data about the resurrection that helps a scientific thinker believe.
This podcast discusses the teaching of Jesus during his trial and crucifixion and discusses the relationship of His disciple’s understanding to what He was saying. His discussions with the Jewish and Roman authorities also utilized teaching moments. Jesus actually mentions His teaching plan and style. For me, this helps me understand Jesus and His thoughts and actions and plans.…
This podcast continues the discussion of the impacts of Jesus’ teaching with individuals, responses to questions, and how Jesus responded so that all may learn. We consider a few of Jesus’ teaching from his Transfiguration, where the last podcast ended, to just before He enters Jerusalem prior to His trial and crucifixion. As mentioned earlier, the closer Jesus came to His final time, his teaching expanded and became more direct especially to the religious leaders and teachers of the day. In the last few podcast we only sampled His teaching and I encourage all to read and study the chapters in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the early parts os Acts that further record His words.…
We continue with a discussion of the teaching of Jesus directly to individuals or small groups, and the impacts it had on the local crowds and His followers. As critical thinkers we will appreciate the impact his teaching had on those who listened as well as the impacts of His actions.
This podcast continues the discussion of the teaching of Jesus using his stories and parables and the meaning and comprehensiveness of the parable format and learning process.
This podcast starts a series considering the teaching of Jesus beginning with the Sermon on the Mount. I consider the conditions and circumstances and to some extent the people who were following and listening to Jesus teach and then begin exploring His words and thoughts.
This podcast follows the first 3 and considers the Christian life as a scientist. We discuss the observational concepts believed and practiced by Christians through time and how we can understand and believe as both a scientist and a Christian.
Podcast 3 continues our discussion by considering the Christ from a reasoned observational perspective, at least I hope so. Thinking about the Christ, as a scientist, requires thoughts based on reaction all historical reality, conceptual inferences and personal belief.
Podcast 1 considered the Creator God. Podcast 2 follows with a discussion on considering the Bible as a scientist also using reasoned observation. Hopefully this podcast discusses concepts that a person thinking as a scientist would accept as meaningful truth.
How to accept the Creator God for those of us who think like scientists. Understand the rationale and logic that there is a Creator God and that, as scientists, we can believe. This is an MP3 version of our original Podcast 1.

We continue by discussing the resurrection of Jesus. Many scientific thinkers have a problem with the concept of resurrection, living again after dying. Christians believe Jesus was resurrected and we discuss why we can believe this and why it is so important.
