Tyler "Soups" Campbell hosts "Soups on Hockey". It's not just one style of show. He's looking at all angles. Sometimes it's the BS (Big Show) where he'll look at what's going on throughout the league and the sport. Sometimes it's the SOHO (Soups on Hockey Oilers). "SOH Best Bets" normally done for Saturday nights for your gambling fix. The "Short Shift" is a 15-30 min show that is normally an instant reaction to breaking news. Soups is also building a big library of retrospective shows, unique rankings, hypotheticals, round table discussions, interviews, and so much more!

The Hockey world is in a state of utter shock that an average team that only ever has results in the regular season continues to be the same team despite nominal/non needle moving changes. In this podcast, I get to the bottom of what possibly could be going on here, and there is no earthly way that fans and media would lack THAT much intelligence...…
It's all in the title! Start it off with rebuild rankings while also taking a look at all the teams who missed the playoffs, even those who aren't rebuilding. Then we get into the power rankings, followed by my playoff picks as we gear up for the playoffs starting this weekend!
I have to apologize to Doug Armstrong. I took our vendetta (he doesn’t know I exist) too far and need to give him his due. Plus, more on the Bouchard contract debate.
Soupy bear is back after a week off! Playoff format, game managing, Canadian teams in the playoffs and of course the Oilers all in this edition of the SOH Big Show!
Mostly on what happened at the deadline. Cozens/Norris trade, the Avs, the Stars, Rantanen, tons on the Oilers, and my freshly updated post trade deadline power rankings.
This one is all about team Canada and the 4 Nations Face-off. Their loss to the US on Saturday, what needs to be done, does Canada need to do something about the way they're developing players, and whether or not they are done. They could be done today, they could be done Thursday, they could be champs by Thursday. Still a lot to be decided.…
These suck. 2-5 the last two times out, meaning I'm only 4-10 of late. Not good. 7 of the best bets that I could come up with for this Saturday's slate of games, let's hope my luck starts to turn right here, let's do it, fucking rights, LFG!!!!!!!!! Likely won't happen, I am terrible at picking games.…
On this latest episode of the BS, I'm talking the Kakko trade, the Carrier trade, the shit show going on with the Rangers, the shit show going on with the Sabres, the shit show going on with the Predators, Dom being a coward, how ridiculous the Avs play by play team are, the Canadian World Junior team, the lines I'd run for Canada at the 4 Nations, and of course the Oilers (mainly talking about both Skinner's again).…
Will I be like Santa, or Satan? Tis' the season, but last time out I was 2-5 and cost people money. That's more Satan like, and I'm striving to be Santa like, even attempting to pack on those kind of pounds so it's more authentic.
Things are rolling for the Edmonton Oilers right now! Including something that I didn't see until I finished recording which is 2023 2nd round pick Beau Akey has made team Canada! A long shot at best entering this season, Akey not only has made the team but been a stand out at the selection camp! Everything is trending up in Oil country at the moment!…
A rare but likely to become much more common Thursday edition of the best bets. As always, 7 selections, believe I've won money the last 2 times out. 3's a charm?...
On today's episode I got stuff on the Blackhawks, Bedard, coaching in the NHL, the Trouba trade, the Rangers aggressiveness, the Flames and of course the Oilers.
Been over a WEEK since you last heard my voice your poor bastards...on this edition of the BS, thoughts on the Jiricek trade, which top prospect could be next, Jim Montgomery, 4 Nations roster projections, my top 7 so far for the 2025 draft, my latest power rankings, and as always Oilers talk to cap it off.…
I really need to change this name as these have no longer been post game shows. Anyway, the team is starting to round into form, and it might be showing that they have different needs on the trade front than initially thought.
I am so fed up with the horse shit that gets said about the Canucks when they've been showing us all that they are THIS team for the last 5 seasons. Plus...with the goaltending market looking very bare this trade deadline, I wonder out loud about a talented guy whom if the Oilers acquired him, would not be welcomed by the fan base with open arms...but might be better than you think and is just needing the right situation.…
These are not the goofy "who is playing well" power rankings that everyone does and they make absolutely no sense. These are power rankings done right and ranking the teams I like to win the Stanley Cup from 32nd to 1st.
Who goes first? Miller? Pettersson? Or the guy who nobody is mentioning right now...Rick Tocchet? As they get healthy, he's not getting any buy in. Right, because coaches like him have a very short shelf life.
We are a month away from the 4 Nations Face-Off and Doug Armstrong appears to have already severely botched the selections of Canada's goaltenders as 3 of the best in the league THIS SEASON are Canadian...and none of them are on the roster.
Why the concept that rebuilding doesn't work is ridiculous. Nobody is advocating for bad management, look at what is happening with Montreal and now Detroit that they have the right coach behind the bench.
Lot's that I get into on this over 2 hour edition of the SOH Big Show! Rebuilding apparently works again just two weeks after it was declared terrible, Doug Armstrong doesn't rebuild and yet that decision isn't nearly as awful as his goaltending selections have been for Team Canada as the nation prepares to be embarrassed yet again at the 4 Nations, things are falling apart in Vancouver so who will be the first to go? Miller? Pettersson? Or perhaps Tocchet?...Plus I give you my latest power rankings, PLUS I give you my current top 32 prospects list for the draft in June, and Oilers chatter is spread throughout the show. Like I said, it's a lot!…
NEW YEAR NEW ME...Just kidding, I'll likely still lose just as much with these picks as I ever have. But here are 7 picks for tonight's games that I actually really like. May you have the best of luck with them, don't blame me if they suck. You've been warned PLENTY at this point!
Canada is out at the 2025 WJC. Again, to the Czechs. Again, in the quarter-final. Something needs to change with Hockey Canada and this broken program.
It is the gold standard of World Junior teams in general, and still 20 years later they are held in the highest regard. There isn't even a debate to be had. Whenever anyone is asked who is the greatest World Junior team of all time, the answer is 2005. That team, and to a lesser extent, that tournament, is the topic of this edition of the Retrospectives.…
30 years has passed since the first lockout in NHL history, which means 30 years has passed since the first World Juniors version of the dream team took the ice. All hands on deck from what was an excellent 1993 draft class, and a team that for a decade was recognized as the best team the tournament had ever seeen.…
