Marcia Clark, best known as the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial, has become a trailblazer for women in law and beyond. Her journey from courtroom to bestselling author reflects her resilience and determination to redefine herself amidst intense public scrutiny. On this episode of Worth Knowing, Clark dives into her latest book, *Trial by Ambush*, which examines the 1953 Barbara Graham case—a story that highlights gender bias, media sensationalism, and the notion that all cases are subject to societal, cultural, and political winds. Clark shares how her experiences during the Simpson trial shaped her perspective on societal pressures and the role of women in high-stakes professions. Her reflections on how media, forensic science, and legal practices have evolved over decades offer valuable insights into the intersection of law and culture. This conversation is a compelling exploration of true crime, personal growth, and how Clark’s groundbreaking career continues to inspire a new generation of women to challenge norms and forge their own paths. Marcia Clark is a bestselling author and a criminal lawyer who began her career in law as a criminal defense attorney and went on to become a prosecutor in the L.A. District Attorney's Office in 1981. She spent ten years in the Special Trials Unit, where she handled a number of high-profile cases, including the prosecution of stalker/murderer Robert Bardo, whose conviction for the murder of actress Rebecca Schaeffer resulted in legislation that offered victims better protection from stalkers as well as increased punishment for the offenders. She was lead prosecutor for the O.J. Simpson murder trial. In May of 1997 her book on the Simpson case, "Without a Doubt," was published and reached #1 on the New York Times, Wall St. Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Publishers Weekly bestsellers lists. In February 2016, Clark re-released the book with a new foreword. Most of the things I will talk about is life experiences, sharing positivity and sharing my story with the world, being a better person. Sometimes I may get on and be goofy.

I've often wondered what level of parenting I'm on. I feel like I do a good job being a parent, but how do we really know how good of a job that were actually doing. Where's the data, the grade system or the blueprint? I feel like I had some fun with this one. I think that sometimes us parents give ourselves too much credit and sometimes not enough credit. Here's to parenting, cheers!…
This one goes a little deeper into the thought process for me. Looking at our country, school shootings, politics, inner cities, disagreements, one thing that relates to all of these are the aggressive and violent tendencies that come with them. Looking at how many children that's lost their lives to violence, another thing stood out. We can't blame Democrats or Republicans, that's obviously a system setup to fail. It's more so the lack of our positive input and teachings, it's the lack of community, it's the selfishness that has conquered compassion.…
I'm really interested in responses that can come from this question and from this episode in general. Will there be more answers to combat what I'm talking about or will there be actual, meaningful, thoughtful responses. I'm looking forward to both. Feel free to reach out to me @ vulnerabletruthful@gmail.com I am always open for good conversation and it's an open door for anyone that would like to converse about it. All that I ask is that it comes with an open mind, I'll give the same in return.…
This episode gives an in depth account of me staying busy to avoid my reality. It's been a rough, painful, heartbreaking, but also joyous, interesting three years. This episode touches on the things reasons of me staying so active and bust throughout these three years and the cost of it. It's not me feeling sorry for myself or stating any regrets. It's just my honest vulnerable truth.…
When fighting racism a group of people tend to come out with they're input, like it's up to them if we fight or not or if we're allowed to share our experiences. They are missing something extremely obvious, no one need their approval. We don't care if approval is given or not. Every time that someone feel the need to speak on a life experience that doesn't belong to them there will be a reminder of the control that they do not have. We speak up alone or with each other, which is not something that can be said for racist people. They need their group in their physical presence to have a voice. Better yet to have an echo. Soon those echoes will become whispers. I guess me saying that no one can control or have a say so in our experiences is infringement on their 1st amendment rights.…
Me opening all the way up. I was pacing back and forth, you'll hear that in the audio at some points. I was pacing because this is a touchy subject for me.
