I am always amazed how we have the same disease and yet we are so different but the same. How different medicines and treatments "lower" our pain or keeps us going so we can have some what a "normal" life. With that said, here is our new season and our very first episode with a very special guest, Lisa Cohen and her CRPS Story.…
I cannot THANK all the Warriors that come and tell their story on this podcast. This episode is the AWESOME Dr. Heather. She is beautiful inside and out. What an amazing gift it is to hear her talk about her experiences.
CRPS Warrior Emily is a true fighter! Just like all us Warriors are. So happy she was able to be part of our show. Hope you enjoy, and get some great information. <3
I feel like I need to apologise for being not on track. I have had Rachael's episode recorded and my husband went ahead with out me and edit this episode and put it up for me. I was always taught that hate was a very strong word and should not be used lightly. When I say I HATE CRPS, I mean it. But I love that I get to spread awareness 🧡 with all my fellow Warriors. Please enjoy Rachael's CRPS Story part 2 - Self Care.…

Learning to love myself, including my body, is a slow process. But, I am doing it! I am learning to love myself and the rolls, scars, pains, emotions, body... The song by Kesha, Learn to Let Go speaks to me and when I listen to it it gives me that strength and to remind myself to let the past go. Learn to live in the now. POOP!!! What a subject.... I am so sorry for the silliness and all the laughter. BUT...it is a serious matter. Just an FYI, there is language at the end of the podcast. Just a couple of words, and it is during a VERY (I think) funny poem. The Poo Will Not Do -- A Dr. Suess Parody About Constipation By Chris Honsberger. Book available on Amazon -https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00HPNY94S/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Chris+Honsberger&qid=1594054327&sr=8-1 Hope you enjoy!! :)…
This episode really gave me a happy heart. Remembering all the sweet victories, rather big or small and to me they are all just as important. JUST like this EPISODE! It was Father's day...so I wanted to do all the editing myself so my husband would't have to (because that would not have been nice, my brain was NOT working while we recorded) He kept asking if he could help and I would say no...it took me the triple amount of time to finish then what he would have taken. BUT I DID IT! Sweet Victory! Also... Happy Father's Day to all the Daddy's out there!! Hope you had a very sweet day :)…
Clothing is a BIG issue for me. My skin is not able to wear so many different fabrics. A site that has helped me in so many ways, including with clothing is https://rsds.org/crps-comfortable-clothing/
Sorry for the late post. It has been a rough couple of weeks, and seems like it is not going to end. But I knew I needed to do this. I have always been a care giver my whole life. So this is an episode I really need to live by, no matter how hard it is...Take Care of Myself so I Can Take Care of my Love Ones <3…
This turns out to be a very interesting episode. I talked about finding my x-ray I wanted to share, unfortunately I did not find the one I was looking for. Found others, just not that one. But when I do I will post on our Facebook & Instagram page. Thank you for listening. :)
I am really, REALLY bad about smiling when everything is not okay. Pain, depression, anxiety. I smile and laugh them away, when I should be expressing my emotions. When I should be crying. I think Hiro Mashima said it best “The worst kind of pain is when you are smiling just to keep the tears from smiling”…
Whooshing, Hissing, Ringing or Roaring with high or low pitch, loud or very soft and can, but not always, cause hearing lost. My hearing is definitely not what it use to be!
If you ever see me at the store or restaurant trying to read an item or menu and you see me moving the item or menu back and forth or cleaning, moving my glasses up and down...I probably can't see. So please help!! Or my family will get what I ever I get and not what they need or want :)
#CRPSAWARENESS #crpstoes Changes in the nails and hair is another symptom of CRPS. You can check out our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CR-a-PS-a-day-in-a-life-with-a-woman-with-CRPS-110757490526224/?modal=admin_todo_tour Where I posted a picture of my toes. Please, be nice. I truly try.
Besides the every day constant pain that has come into my life because of CRPS, this is a part of my "new" life that has been very hard on me. The weight gain! I hope y'all enjoy this emotional episode as much as I enjoyed talking it out <3
Welcome to Episode 6 :) We hope that you are all doing well and staying safe. This week we did another remote podcast, because we are doing our part during this time and staying home. <3 This episode is all about SWEATING!!! CRPS warriors have multiple systems that are malfunctioning. So because of this we have lost our back up stress response help. So... we SWEAT!…
overwhelm [ oh-ver- hwelm , - welm ] verb (used with object; to overcome completely in mind or feeling It is a daily task for me to not feel overwhelmed. Not being able to do all the tasks that I use to be able to do, puts me in a state of depression, high anxiety, and feeling lost. Trying to find my way is a daily new journey for me. There are things that helps me get out of that feeling. Controlled breathing, riding my tricycle, planting and potting plants, feeding my birds, taking care of my fur babies <3 are just some of the things that help me get through the day. It is hard at times to remind myself that there is great things that I can do. Stop thinking about the things I no longer can do, but what I can do to make my day a better day :) What activities make your day better?…
CRPS/RSD affects the whole person. The condition sends "shock waves" through the whole nervous system that causes different effects through out your body. This causes a "new" you to loose your "old" self. One of the effects is the Parasympathetic Nervous System- Helps orgasms and fertility in women.
Medical definitions for depression A reduction in physiological vigor or activity. A lowering in amount, degree, or position. An inward displacement of a body part. A hollow or sunken area. I have been battling health issues for quite a while now. I have a rear condition called CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) But after a 2 year fight, in April 2018 I was officially diagnosed with CRPS. Come a year later, I started complaining about my left side hurting, and I knew it was different from my CRPS. Again, the medical field was telling me that it was probably my medicines or could be my digestive system and they will keep an eye on it. After a couple of opinion, and still wanting to just watch. My husband was like no...call my GI doctor. At first I said no because its another doctor, another appointment. But the next morning I woke up in agony and told my husband that I will call his GI. It is now July 2019. I made an appointment, with an amazing GI Doctor. I had a scope done of my digestive system. It came back clean. So did a cat scan, and to find out there was something there. A mass taking up all of my whole left liver, the size of a baseball. So now I was sent to another Specialist, an Urologist. He let me and my family know that I had kidney cancer. I went through surgery with lots of care with my Pain Mang Dr. and Urologist. LOTS of love and care through family and friends. So today I am able to speak with you about taking care of one of the most important people , YOU!! Have a "Happy" Kidney Cancer Awareness Month and wear your ORANGE!!! It has double powers. For Kidney Cancer Awareness & CRPS!!…
