In this episode of Tickets to Travel: The Business of Travel Experiences , we’re joined by the ultimate guest list insider, Lance Dashoff, founder of Loudie — the app that’s quietly revolutionizing how fans score free concert, comedy, and festival tickets across the U.S. From his early days at WME curating VIP access, to launching a platform that fills empty seats and fuels unforgettable nights out, Lance spills the tea on: Why 30–40% of tickets go unsold How promoters are secretly using free ticketing to boost bar sales and fan buzz The economics behind live events and why not all sold-out shows are actually sold out How Loudie helps fans and venues win — without the scammy vibes Why travel pros and concierges should start recommending this app yesterday Whether you’re in LA, NYC, or stuck in traffic on the way to Philly — this is the episode you can’t afford to miss (literally). Welcome back to the Kotaku Australia Podcast for Episode 35! It was Halloween when Emily and I recorded this episode, and we used it as an opportunity to talk about some of our favourite scary games, including Amnesia and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem! Meanwhile, I've been playing Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and I'd like to yell about how good it is for a bit. Thank you for indulging me. A bit of a sad announcement: though the show concludes with Emily and saying we'll see you next week, it turns out we won't. This is the final episode of The Kotaku Australia Podcast. Our aural experiment has come to an end -- for now. We have plans to create more video and pod content in the future, but for now, we are putting this particular project to bed. Where will be pop up next? Who knows. This feed will be come an archive of every episode of the show, and we may update it from time to time in the future when we have an interview or review we feel is podcast worthy. Thank you for listening, for watching, for reviewing, for telling your friends about our show. We're grateful and we've loved making it for you. See you round, Space Cowboy. Welcome back to The Kotaku Australia Podcast. It's a show about video games, and this week, we've got a special episode for you! This week on the show, we're doing something a little bit different. During PAX Aus last weekend, we caught up with South Australian game developer Chantal Ryan. You might have heard of her game DarkWeb Streamer -- you may have even played it, if you stopped by their booth at the show. Chantal's interview with Emily was so fascinating and wide ranging we decided that make it this week's episode of the podcast. If you've not heard of Chantal before, or heard her speak about her craft, we're very excited to introduce you. Chantal is as much an anthropologist as she is a game designer, interested in people and what makes them tick. It is this willingness to burrow into the human psyche that has made DarkWeb Streamer , the first game from her South Australian studio We Have Always Lived In The Forest, one of the most hotly anticipated local titles in years. In this interview, Chantal speaks with Emily on her extremely unorthodox pathway into gamedev, how her deep study of the Geocities-era of the internet informed DarkWeb Streamer , and why she thinks the internet of today feels so bereft of personality by comparison.
