This Audio Is Visual is a podcast engaging African photographers on their work as image makers.A masterclass and blueprint archive for new image makers.The conversations vary according to what each entrepreneur specializes in, while some episodes will spotlight new image makers.

Episode two features Tseliso Monaheng a Lesotho born, South Africa based multimedia artist.Tseliso has been documenting the live perfomance scene across the country since the early 2000s- at the time, with a camcorder.

In the conversation Monaheng shares his perspective on the importance of community, creating a black archive and more.

“As black people we need to think a lot about our archive, building a black archive that we own and can control.”

Monaheng’s personal archive boasts of documentation of an array of artists, on and off stage. Ranging from the likes of Jazz Musician Thandi Ntuli, Nduduzo Makhatini, Msaki ZA and many more.
