Luca del Rizzo | Smart Sports Podcast | Season 2 Episode 3
Manage episode 311889534 series 3197594
This week on Smart Sports Podcast we have a goalie that has seen more rubber than most goalies in junior hockey. Luca del Rizzo is in his first year of junior hockey and plays for the Delhi Travellers. As of the recording of this podcast, Luca and his teammates are the only junior team in Ontario without a win at 0-39. It’s been a tough season for these guys. I thought it would be great to have Luca on to tell his story.
SHOUT OUTS
A huge shout out goes out to Hannah Ward. The 15-year-old from Waterford qualified for the upcoming Canadian Olympic swimming Trials, thanks to her efforts at the Mallards Winter Invitational in Markham.
She recorded a time of 27.17 seconds in the 50 metre to qualify for the Olympic Trials to be held in Toronto March 30 to April 5.
The 2020 Olympic Games are in Tokyo, Japan from July 24 to August 9.
A big shout out to Simcoe’s Jake Luke. The Norwich Merchants forward is in the hunt for the PJHL goal scoring title this weekend. He was one back of Rylie Cribbin, from the Mount Forest Patriots.
And a giant shout out to podcast guest Trevor Oakes. Remember you heard it hear first on Smart Sports Podcast, that the owner of ABO baseball has had his bats approved by Major League Baseball. I can’t wait to see an ABO during an MLB game this season.
