‘All Is Mended’ artistic director and actor PHILIP ROBINSON presents a selection of the interviews with elders from local care homes mixed together with music from the theatre show. A tasty teaser for the ears. 'All Is Mended' is a theatre show repurposing ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, uniting Shakespeare with real-life stories from residents of three local Devon care homes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Caring and being cared for under the spotlight as the words of residents, their families and staff take centre-stage. In this episode local Crediton people are voicing the words selected from our interviews with residents, families and staff from local care homes: St Swithuns, Coppelia House, and Hillbrow. All extracted from our book A Little Bit Of Magic - care home conversations in Covid times, available from The Bookery Crediton, and from us on tour. The music and words here are all from the All Is Mended show. The voice actors: Rita King, Jim King, Jan Hookway, Eddie Holden, Esah Bodinetz, Hannah Reynolds, Brana Thorn, John Twitchin, Pippa Marriott, Gillie Stoneham, Luchia Howell, Jenny Start, Rupert Grantham, Philip Robinson, Nichola Weate. The music: Felix Mendelssohn A Midsummer Night's Dream Overture, Nina Simone My Baby Just Cares For Me, Eurythmics Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This, The Coasters Sh Boom Life Could Be A Dream, Arvo Pärt Spiegel Im Spiegel, Johann Strauss II Pizzicato Polka, theme from Singin' In The Rain, Tom Waits Just Another Sucker On The Vine, Supertramp Dreamer, Nat King Cole Nature Boy, Penguin Cafe Orchestra Perpetuum Mobile, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong Dream A Little Dream Of Me.
