Just in time for the release of the first comic written by pod-favorites Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Afterschool 1 from Skybound), we're reviewing their first work on a comic-inspired property: Moon Knight! Benson and Moorhead directed two episodes of the new Marvel series on Disney+, with the other four episodes helmed by Mohamed Diab (director of Clash and Cairo 678). Being big comic fans here at the pod, we were very excited to cover a superhero property on the show. But even better, we're joined by a special guest who is a fantastic writer of both comics and prose AND a fan of the Moon Knight comics: Alex Segura! Alex has worked on properties such as Star Wars, Archie and more, but his latest novel Secret Identity is a mystery thriller set in the comics industry of 1975, which happens to be the same year Moon Knight debuted in an issue of Werewolf By Night! We had a fabulous time chatting with Alex, and we really hope everyone enjoys the episode. After you've finished listening, check out the links below for more details on Alex's work! And as always, thanks so much for listening!
