Episode 7 was recorded live at the World Open Innovation Conference 2022 in Eindhoven. We have a very special panel on the value of open source with Prof. Henry Chesbrough himself, Prof. Ann Majchrzak and Hilary Carter.
Henry Chesbrough, who coined the term “open innovation,” is a professor and educational director of the Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation at Berkeley Haas. His research focuses on technology management and innovation strategy. He also teaches at Esade Business School at Spain’s University Ramon Llull. He has been an adjunct professor at the Harvard Business School and previously served as product manager and vice president of marketing at Quantum Corporation, a manufacturer of data storage devices and systems. He earned a BA in economics from Yale University, an MBA from Stanford University, and a PhD in business administration from Berkeley Haas.
Ann Majchrzak is a Professor of Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. She teaches and is doing research on digital innovation - with a track record of more than 25,000 citations to her name. She is a Fellow of the Association for Information Systems and has held concurrent appointments at Esade Business School, Ramon Llull University (Barcelona, Spain) Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, LUISS School of Business and Management (Rome, Italy) and Simon Fraser University (Vancouver Canada) in the areas of Innovation and Organization. Hilary Carter is VP Research at The Linux Foundation, an advisor at VeriTX, a senior advisor at Linksports International Corporation and an advisory board member at Eva. Before she has been the managing director at the Blockchain Research Institute. Hilary is all about creating technology insights that inform - and transform - government, enterprise, and society.
