"When you have separation at the foundation of your theology, then retribution is part of your paradigm."

"A God who looks away will create sons and daughters that can justify looking away. And a God who punishes will create leaders who are justified in punishing - and it's going to create bullies."

"You can't flip a table (referencing Jesus in the Temple) if you're not willing to lay your life down for the person on the other side of the table. This is what we are missing. It becomes 'us' and 'them.' But, Jesus died for the person on the other side of the table."

Welcome back for Part 2 of our paradigm shifting conversation with author and relational theologian, Jason Clark. We are exploring some things in this conversation that may potentiall bother you, but they may also resonate deeply with you. Our invitation is to ask Jesus for yourself. It is safe to ask questions. At the end of the day, let greater love be your compass.
