When children love to play with toys, but back in the early 1900's it wasn't uncommon for girls and boys to play with dolls. The Otto family thought it would be nice to gift a doll to their youngest son, Robert Eugene Otto. It was shortly after their meeting each other that Robert gave his name to his doll and would be known as Gene until his death and the doll will forever be known as Robert the Doll. Anything that would go wrong in the home would be because of Robert and Gene would say, "Robert did it." What did Robert actually do? Did Gene finally go out of his obsession with his doll?
