They’re gearing up to release Live From The Garden Amphitheater, a live album recorded at their 2023 20th anniversary shows with both lead vocalists (Anthony Green and Cove Reber) that includes a full performance of their debut EP Translating The Name, covers (of Sunny Day Real Estate, At the Drive-In, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Blindside), and more; they have a re-recorded “Saosin’s Version” of their self-titled album on the way in order to give the album a long-awaited vinyl re-release (due to rights issues with Capitol Records); they’re about to go on their first tour with Cove in 14 years; and they have new music in the works. The Get Up Kids‘ classic 1999 album Something To Write Home About turns 25 this year, and the band is celebrating with an expanded reissue and a tour, and for the occasion, co-leaders Matt Pryor and Jim Suptic joined us on the BrooklynVegan podcast for an hour-long reflection on the album.
