Manage episode 390407022 series 3362206
In this episode of The Source, we speak with world-renowned economist, senior UN advisor and best-selling author Jeffrey D. Sachs about recent developments in Ukraine and Gaza. We begin the interview by assessing the stalemate in the US Congress and the European Union on providing aid to Ukraine. We then talk about Israel's war in Gaza and ask about the significance of the recent United Nations resolutions and the US veto against them. We inquire about Israel's objective in Gaza as well as why the US continues to fully support it. We then discuss recent developments in civil liberties in relation to Israel and the Palestinian conflict in Germany and finally assess why the West selectively invokes international law.
