On a routine November evening in 1953, an Air Defense Command radar detected an unidentified object over Lake Superior, prompting the immediate scramble of an F-89C Scorpion jet from Kinross Air Force Base in Michigan. Piloted by First Lieutenant Felix Moncla, with Second Lieutenant Robert Wilson as radar operator, the jet set out under a blanket of secrecy and uncertainty.

As ground radar operators watched anxiously, the blip representing Moncla’s jet approached the unidentified object. Then, in a moment that has baffled and intrigued for decades, the two blips merged on the radar screen, and contact was abruptly lost. The jet, along with Lieutenant Moncla and Lieutenant Wilson, vanished without a trace. This Incident remains a chilling enigma, emblematic of the early days of the Cold War, where air space was closely monitored, and the unknown was met with more fear than fascination.

This case file, join the Theorists as we soar into the chilling cloud of mystery that surrounds one of the most puzzling aviation disappearances in... The Kinross UFO Incident
