Election night was not a great night for Laura Helmuth, editor-in-chief of Scientific American. Like many of her fellow Americans, she was dismayed by the final results. Her post went viral in right-wing media. Laura deleted her posts, resigned from her position, and issued an apology for her lapse of judgement.
