Episode 210 Chad Wienen: "The quest to regain his title"

As Chad recaps what most would call an amazing season, fighting for a championship with 4 wins on the season. Chad had 4 wins out of 10 races with a couple of them not ending with the outcome he needed. While being competitive all year he’s still in the fight. He will go back to the shop, test track, and find a little more speed. His mental focus will need to improve to win again in 2023.

As Chad drove home from the finals at no point did he say it was not a good season, but it was disappointing not to win. Looking inward he asked himself a lot of questions “do I still have it?” “do I still want it?” “am I as angry as I am?” with the conclusion that he still wants to race more. He was looking forward to a short relaxing time, but not this year. He needs to get to work harder since 2023 is around the corner. Preparations will start as the truck is unloaded. Chad will focus on every detail, the tires and suspension, training mind and body, and anything else he can do to win.

Chad will build on his 2022 season with more testing and developing better setups and combinations for every track. The desire to win and become champion again gets stronger every day. All his thoughts about what could have been mattered not. Chad has 8 titles, but that’s not what matters. Winning and being the best is.
