On April 21, 2008, Katherine suffered a massive brainstem stroke. She was 26 years-old and her six-month-old baby James slept in the next room. After undergoing an emergency sixteen hour brain surgery, she was not expected to live or recover. By God's miraculous grace and with the help of her husband Jay, Katherine relearned to speak, swallow, walk, and care for her son. An excruciating yet beautiful road to recovery has led the Wolf family to their new normal, in which almost every moment of life is marked with scars of that fateful April day in 2008. Now, six years later, she and Jay are stewarding their story of suffering, restoration, and Christ-centered hope with this broken world through their ministry Hope Heals.
