In this Best Possible Taste interview Sharon Noonan talks to Wicklow based hemp farmer Ed Hanbidge. Ed, a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture, is the driving force behind 'The Hemp Farm'. Located in the picturesque heart of Wicklow, Ireland, 'The Hemp Farm' is one of the only certified organic producer of hemp products in Ireland. Ed also runs the family farm which produces and delivers organic beef & lamb direct to customer's & hihh end restaurants from their herd of pedigree, traditional Irish, Dexter & Irish Moil cattle and the flock of Cheviot, Suffolk & Galway sheep underthe brand Keadeen Mountain Farms. Founded in 2020, 'The Hemp Farm' began as a small-scale operation with a big vision: to harness the power of hemp to promote wellness and sustainability. In 2015, 'The family Farm' transitioned to organic farming methods, further enhancing the purity and potency of their products. Today, the farm produces a wide range of hemp-derived goods, including Hemp seed oil for food use, Protein powder for shakes & smoothies, CBD oil supplements, skincare products, all of which are crafted with care and precision. Driven by a desire to make a positive impact on both people and the planet, Ed's mission is simple yet profound: to promote health, wellness, and sustainability through the power of hemp.
