Ezekiel 23 has been called the most shocking chapter in the Bible, chronicling as it does the radical unfaithfulness of Israel to God, and his radical love for them. We see an example in Israel, sinful emulation in Judah, and the execution of God's purposes in judgement, yet also mercy. To the Church it is a lesson that we must depend on God alone for growth and for all things.
